Golf and country club communities are now located in every sector of Atlanta

Let's face it. Atlanta is golf-crazy. Obsessed. Manic. And why not? With year-round temperate weather, and an abundance of green, lush courses, Atlanta is a dream come true for golf lovers. But it doesn't stop there. Today's golf fanatics can live on the golf course, while providing their families with custom homes, a wide range of recreational activities, and the comfort of a neighborhood of families and friends.
Golf and country club communities are now located in every sector of Atlanta. And they are certainly not appealing to just golfers. Many corporate executives, young families and even empty nesters find country club living to be just the right type of lifestyle for them.

The Homes
Expect the best when you purchase a home in a golf and country club community. Most communities offer more than one builderExpect the best when you purchase a home in a golf and country club community and several different styles and amenity packages.Custom homes are usually available as well, which gives you the opportunity to create a one-of-a-kind home.
That is not to say that country club communities aren't discerning. The designs and architecture styles all work together to create the look and feel of the community Homeowners agree to covenants that protect property values and enhance the neighborhood.      Finding the perfect golf and country club community is a little like shooting fish in a barrel - you just can't miss
Another trend in Atlanta's golf and country clubs communities is to offer homes at differing price points. For example, one of Alpharetta's most established communities, offers mid-size homes from the $200s to private gated homes that are priced over $1 million and located on the golf course.

The Choice
Finding the perfect golf and country club community is a little like shooting fish in a barrel - you just can't miss. Atlanta has such a variety of communities that it doesn't even matter which direction you go. So while you really can't go wrong, it does help to do a little research and find a club that meets your particular lifestyle. Some aspects to consider include:
Peach  Location: Is the community convenient to Atlanta's interstate system? Is it located close to work, schools and entertainment?
Peach  Housing: Is there an architectural policy that safeguards residents' property value? Are the homes custom built? Do you have a choice of builders and housing options?
Peach  Golf Course: How many courses are there? What is the yardage, rating, slope, architect, in-season condition, professional staff and what, if any events or tournaments does the community sponsor?
Peach  Membership Rates: What type of dues structure is there? Are there initiation fees? Are the fees refundable or transferable? Are there different levels of membership, i.e. intermediate, regular, social?
Peach  Members: Who are the other members of the club? How old are they? Do they have children?
Peach  Tennis: How many courts are available? Is there league play? Is there a professional staff? Are lessons available?
Peach  Pool: How big is the pool area? Is there a swim team? Are lessons available? Is there a recreation specialist on staff?
Peach  Clubhouse/Social Events: Are meals available at the club? What is the dress code? What type of planned activities are there? Is the club available for private parties?
Peach  Grounds: Are there jogging or biking paths available? Are there other recreational areas, such as playgrounds or sports courts in the community?
